Here it is Mother's day! I still can't believe I'm in this stage of life...motherhood! There are days when I want to quit but then I look at my little cherubs in the morning, and my heart just melts. I love being a mom!
So I decided to honor mother's in my life and the love I have for my kids, and run a 5K race on Mother's day. The event took place in City Park, a beautiful area and a wonderful group that organized the event. We arrived early to enjoy the festivities and free giveaways. By 9am when the race started, it was 80 degrees already...HOT!
My loving boys and me!
Before the race, there was a prayer for all the moms. And then a girl read a poem about mother's. We were all in tears and just being still in the moment. Jonas was by my side letting me know he loves me. So special!
Yoga stretching before the run. Jonas enjoys doing any exercise with me or Matt.
Finished with my boys clapping and ringing their bells for me. Some day I hope to run along the side of them.
After church, we came home for naps and finished the garden. Matt's gift to me was to finish the cover for the garden to avoid any deer or squirrel visits. Silas was right by his side helping his daddy.
The sun was hot and the shade was refreshing. Silas and I decided to take a little rest and snooze for 15 minutes. Priceless!

A perfect Spring day...I had to take a photo of the blue Colorado sky.
After naps, I wanted to go to Heritage Square to ride the Ferris Wheel and play 'putt putt' golf. In the front entrance, they had this displayed for people to stick their heads through. Comical!!
Silas wasn't old or tall enough to ride the ferris wheel...it was tragic for him to not go.
I haven't been on a ferris wheel since I was a little girl. It was actually scary when they stopped the car up top. Jonas was Jonas...unresponsive...rolling with the punches!
One of my favorite past times...mini golf!

We all played more than 18 holes. What a blast!

Finished our night with pizza and ice cream at our favorite place, Woody's!
While eating ice cream, Jonas said "Mom, Dad, this is fun!"
My love and appreciation go out to all those mothers out there who are doing, or did, your best to raise your kids. Happy Mother's day!
