It's hot here! However, the long days, the time outside, and the release of pressure of structure...priceless!
While the time last, we are savoring the playtimes together as a whole family.
NOTE: We just bought iPhones and these are the pictures I took with it. Amazing! And I won't have to worry if I forget my camera now.
Jonas and Mommy date to IKEA.
Enjoyed delicious Swedish meatballs there at the cafe and shopped for a LEGO organizer.
Only took less than an hour to organize the colors in different bins.
The final apparatus
Adorable Silas getting measured. He keeps growing!
We have finally been getting afternoon showers so indoor playtime has been reinvented. Jonas has been interested in taking piano lessons, maybe when he is 5 years old(quoted by Jonas).
Woody's pizza in Golden
Rocket boys!
Over at the local farmer's market, they had a rocket exhibit for kids to construct their own spaceship and launch it. Jonas had to wear his Star Wars shirt even if it was blazing hot outside.
Carmel lattes and vanilla steamers at a nearby coffee shop. One of our favorite pastimes together.
Lookout Mountain Nature Center monthly toddler class that we attend. This month was about Hummingbirds. The boys loved sipping nectar(lemonade) like a hummingbird.
Our best neighborhood friend, Kallie, comes over every Monday and Tuesday afternoon to play and eat snacks or dinner. I think this will be one of Jonas' fondest memories as a kid. He loves her as a friend! We will be very sad when she moves away in October.
We go on hikes almost every week...one our of things on our summer list.
Reading with dad each morning is one of the best things ever! Here is Silas with his 3-D glasses to watch a book jump out. Star Wars book, of course!
Hiking Brothers!
Our friends, Emily and Scott, had their baby boy and were able to hold him at the hospital. So precious and sweet!
An afternoon on the Helton beach!
Homemade popsicles...another adventure on our summer list.
Just a few miles from our house, we have a place called Dinosaur Ridge, where dinosaurs use to live. One day last week they had hands-on activities for kids at the visitor center:gold panning, fossil sieving, scavenger hunt, dinosaur dig, dinosaur painting and much more.
Cooling off at the condo pool! Chill baby baby Chill!
Summer brings along a plethora of birthday parties. Above was a pirate party! Argh!
Down below was a water party. Lots of water fights and laughter! (These photos were taken by my good friend and photographer, Jamee)
I took Jonas to a pirate show with one of his good friends, Finley at the Aurora Fox Theatre. The acting was performed by children ages 4-13..it was fantastic and hilarious! Jonas loved the pirate fight with Nerf shooters.
We got in the car and it read 103 degrees. HOT! I took Jonas to a 7-11(I know I can't believe it) and bought him his 1st slurpee ever! Banana flavor and he sipped every little ounce.
