I just can't believe how fast Jonas' life is flying by! He has grown up way too fast. Some days I tell him to never grow up and he tells me,"Mom, I will grow up and be an adult someday."
He was very excited to turn 4 1/2 years old on July 1st so we celebrated in his enthusiasm.
Since it was a half birthday, we decided to celebrate for just half the day. So we cooked up his favorite breakfast, carrot pancakes and stacked half pancakes on top of each other. Stuck 4 1/2 candles on the pile and sang Happy 1/2 birthday to him.
We asked Jonas where he would like to celebrate his half birthday and requested the Denver Aquarium. It's a trip we haven't done as a family and it was perfect!
A mermaid show was performing during our tour. It was hilarious and the boys were not into it at all. Boys will be boys!

The last part of the tour was petting the sting rays.
Jonas is proud to be 4 1/2 years old. He never grew from his actual birthday until 2 weeks prior to his half birthday, a whole inch taller. Astounding!
Jonas continues to amaze me in his ability to focus more hours in the day on a single activity and create something innovative out of Legos or produce a story through drawing, playdoh, or through a conversation. He loves Silas and is the best big brother ever! Sometimes I hear Jonas explain to Silas how Legos work or give him options for play. He is very harmonious and loves to be together as a family.
We love you Jonas!
