Jonas' teeball tournament

Jonas tee ball season ended last weekend with a tournament in Littleton.  We were planning to miss the big day but we came home early from our camping trip and he was able to play once again with his teammates.

Down below are photos of the last game before our trip.
Anticipating his turn to bat on the bench.  I always wanted to know what he was thinking.
Grand Slam!  Okay...well maybe not a GS but he really can hit the ball.
Chewing a wad of gum just like the real players.
Loyal fans...Grandmom, Silas, Aunt Mo, and mom
Shutout by Jonas!
Always ready to field the ball.  This is called the alligator move.
Throw to first base...OUT!
Baseball ready and always watching the ball.
Running into home plate!
Our tournament lasted 1 game...boohoo! All the players received a medal necklace that says Scrappers 2012.  As we drove away from our last game, Jonas said,"I'm glad we didn't win, I didn't want to play another game.  I'm hot!"

The next day, the coaches put off a party for the team and their families.  Every player received their trophy for the season.
Jonas was really proud of his award.  And the coaches gave a little speech to Jonas saying,"Jonas gave his 100% every practice and every game. His passion and focus of the sport resembled his skills, he could throw like a bullet, and we enjoyed having him on the team."  Later that afternoon, one of the coaches pulled Matt aside and said 'Jonas is ready for coach pitch baseball next year.  Don't put him in another year of tee ball. We want him on our team.' Wow, is he getting recruited already?!!?? Haha! Note-Jonas was the youngest on the team and most of his teammates have already played 2 years of tee ball.

The rest of the day, the boys played for hours with each other.  It was very fun to watch the camaraderie within the group.  They really spent a lot of time together this spring/summer and had several friendships form naturally. We were so blessed!

I can't imagine the plans God has for Jonas!
