It is Silas' 1st birthday! We have been looking forward to celebrating with friends that have been a significant part of Silas' 1st year. It was a perfect evening.

Jonas helping me decorate the train cupcake cake. It was so fun to make and so easy! It was Jonas' first time eating candy...he was in heaven.

Here is the finished masterpiece.

We made extra pumpkin cinnamon cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. They were a hit! Silas was amazed at the cupcakes baking in the oven.

Matt called in a substitute to teach the rest of his classes and came home early. He surprised us! Just like a year ago, he had to call in a sub to come get me to the hospital. Instead giving birth to Silas, we celebrated with our new gas firepit. Matt and Jonas finished it that day to enjoy it later that evening with our friends.

Our little pumpkins having a ride in the wheelbarrow.

One year ago at 4:36pm, I gave birth to Silas. This photo is right at 4:36pm. Anticipating for tonight's celebration. You can see the finished firepit behind them. I noticed I didn't take a photo of the firepit while we were all sitting around it. We were having too much fun visiting and loving the smokeless fire!

Cooked 135 doves on the grill! And were all devoured.

Dinner was lots of appetizers and bean soup.

Perfect deck to enjoy food and our guests.

Family photo around the campfire, eating cupcakes.

Attempting to blow out the candle but enjoyed looking at all the different colors instead.

First time eating a cupcake.

Oh Jonas!! He knows that cake is good! We made smores later on with the kiddos too! What a fun night.

Jonas had his 2 best friends over for the party, Asher and Haley. He calls Asher his "best buddy" and Haley his "best friend", the rest are "just friends". He was looking forward to this party all week. I think he had more fun than anyone. Friends, cake, smores, running in the dark, sugar high, balloons, helping Silas open gifts, and more.
