Moab with Grandparents

Our yearly trip to Moab was a bit different this year!  We were able to have Grandmom and Grandad come with us.  It was such a wonderful time together.

The morning we left, we noticed a huge branch crashed on top of our house from a windstorm the night before.  So we were delayed a few hours but Daddy and the boys worked hard getting it done.
Our drive into Moab is so breathtaking.  On one side of the highway is the LaSal Mountains with snow peak tops...and
the other side is red rock cliffs!
Our first outing in Moab after setting up camp was hiking the Corona Arch trail.  The boys have hiked this trail back in the spring of 2013 but they enjoyed every part of it again.

Jonas loves to add to carins or make his own.

See the Corona Arch in the distance?

There were a few tough obstacles that we had to accomplish but we all helped each other as a team!

We made it to a good spot to have a rest and snack.

Grandad and Grandmom gave Matt and I some time to go mountain biking on our own. We love any chance we get to ride bikes together.
Daddy is so unbelievably awesome on a bike!
Silas enjoying the campsite playing baseball with his brother!
Matt tuned up Grandad's bike and rode around on a bike path for the first time in 20 years for him. It was like "riding a bike"!

Hiking in Arches National Park on our last day there.
Sometimes we stopped to do a little jiggle on the trail!
 Grandmom and her grandsons!
Then that evening, Grandmom surprised me with an ice cream cake for my 37th birthday. Ice Cream while camping??? What a special treat!
Grandmom and Grandad enjoying a campfire with us.
As we drove out of Moab to head home, we decided to take a strenuous hike up a canyon outside of Moab.  The views were outstanding!

Driving through Glenwood Canyon. Homeward Bound!
