It's finally here! After all of the shopping, wrapping, reading of Christmas stories, watching holiday movies, decorating and baking cookies, the making of lists and checking them twice...Christmas is finally here! It's such a magical moment for me as a mom to be the one to help my family celebrate this special holiday! Even though it's a lot of work that is involved, it's completely worth it. I love to see my boys excited for Jesus' birth, play time with cousins and of course receiving/giving gifts!
We had a little gift opening in Colorado. Grandmom/Grandad brought up a few gifts including a telescope for Jonas and microscope for Silas. Willy, the elf, helped bring some of fun gifts too.
Landing in Washington to see the Robinson family.
Opa and the boys reading early in the morning before anyone arose. First time being in their new house in Newman Lake. Gorgeous! And it fit all three families plus Jesse.
Jesse the elf hunt. He hid in the forest while the cousins went looking.
Cousins getting ready to hunt!
Matching PJ time!
Christmas Eve Service! Jonas and Silas loved when we sang "Silent Night" because they knew all the verses to it from singing every night at bedtime with them.
Christmas morning!
Christmas hunt!
Jonas and Silas received snowshoes from Oma and Opa!
Then came the real excitement...ANNOUNCING to the family our third baby! Since we were all in tears and hugging each other, there was no time for pictures. So this is all I have. We announced by Oma opening a gift from us(see below) and on the end was the ultrasound. Her first words were "who's pregnant?" And jumped up and down with joy!
Packed up and ready to go to CANADA in the bus!
Sledding hill right outside our door at the Bear House
Hot tub with all the cousins. Oh boy!
Silas and mommy date on snowshoes trekking into the Canadian forest.
While Dad and Jonas went skiing on Red Mountain.
Silas had a morning with dad on the hill as well.
Christmas cookie decorating and of course eating!
Robinson cousins!
Girl tea party! Annual event we have done for years.
Snowshoe and cross country skiing adventure!
Our annual rec pool excursion!
Jonas' 6th birthday celebration! It's so special that he is able to celebrate with his cousins every year. Loads of fun!
Our games consisted of shaving cream/cheese puff contest. Everyone was laughing hysterically. And other games.
Countdown to midnight(Chicago time) with sparklers and dance party!
Robinson family!
Drove back to Newman Lake, WA on the 1st of January to celebrate more with Jonas. Oma and Opa's neighbors were celebrating with fireworks and bonfire. We were all invited and had a blast!
Birthday cake!
Happy 6th Birthday, Jonas! Dad and I love you so much! You have become a boy of confidence, thinker for yourself, resourceful, competent, and courageous in all that you do. We are so proud of you! It's hard for me that you are 6 years old, but I couldn't imagine life without you!
