Lost photos

For the past week and half, I've been grieving over the loss of photos that I have been taking for the past 12 months. This was Silas' first year and many precious moments of Jonas 3rd year. Low and behold, we are getting many photos back from family and friends and so blessed to have this blog. And luckily, I had all the photos from before backed up on an external hard drive.

Now we are entering in the most happiest season of my life...Christmas. For the next few days, I hope to catch up on what we have been doing for this fun season and many more to come.

Now that we have children, the holidays are really exciting! Jonas and Silas love the beauty of the tree, the lights, the special Christmas books, the wonder of the Nativity, the mystery of Santa and of course, presents. For us as parents, it's all of that plus a second job's worth of organizing, shopping, baking, sending out cards, meal and social plans...on and on. Truth be told, it's exhausting but I love it! It's our turn to be the secret Santa and read the story of Jesus' birth. We have been reading our Advent book and singing Christmas carols every night. It's been wonderful! Something that I want our kids to remember forever. Yes...remembrance of a sweet little babe, Jesus, lying in a manger because God loved the world.
