Jonas is growing up so fast, it's emotionally overwhelming! However, I know as a kid you always want to be bigger and older. We are enjoying every stage of life with our kids.
Here is Matt with Jonas on the roof of the house. Yes...can you believe it? But Jonas is cautious and listens to dad. Jonas says, "When I'm bigger, I can blow the leaves off the roof." He blows the leaves off the porch already. Such a huge helper around the house.
For about 2 weeks straight now, Jonas(and Silas) have been building Lego creations. Before Jonas would just display his creations on the windowsill and observe. Now he is assembling new things and then usually crashes it to rebuild something new. Some days, I have to limit him on the hours he is building. He can spend endless hours on it. It's a great activity for him if he doesn't nap and I need my alone time. Jonas says, "When I turn 4 years old, I would like a dump truck Lego." Good thing, I have one hidden for his birthday.
When he builds a new truck, we look in our ABC Truck book to figure out what it looks like. This one is the Grapple Truck.
Just yesterday, I thought to put away a few things I have out from Halloween. Such as some children's books. I had to video tape Jonas singing '5 Little Pumpkins' one more time.

This morning, we read 'When I'm Bigger' by Mercer Mayer. I asked him what he will do when he is bigger. He responded,"Go to college with Silas, stay up a little more, and read to Silas." Now you know how I can be emotionally overwhelmed. Ha!
